FIELD ASSIGNMENTS FOR SECTIONAL CONTESTS
**THE SECTION V SOCCER COMMITTEE RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SCHEDULE GAMES
FIELD ASSIGNMENTS:
A. Game assignments are the direct responsibility of the league coordinators.
B. Failure to return the Field Designation/Availability Form by the designated
date will result in the loss of your right to home games in quarterfinal and pre-quarterfinal rounds.
C. Mileage will be determined by Section V guidelines.
MINIMUM FIELD STANDARDS:
B. GOAL POSTS Soccer only goal posts must be used.
Combination soccer/football posts are unacceptable
C. CROWD CONTROL Efficient crowd control must be met.
· Admission must be charged.
· Spectators must be kept back from the field and away from team areas.
D. SURFACE Every effort will be made to use fields of championship quality.
PRE-QUARTERFINAL AND QUARTERFINAL FIELD ASSIGNMENTS
*(If the mileage exceeds 75 miles, the visiting team may petition the sports committee to play the following day. Final decision rests with the committee)
*It is the responsibility of each individual school to receive permission for use prior to naming a designated home field
SEMI FINAL & FINALS:
1.Scheduling games on lighted fields
2.Scheduling semifinal double headers.
*(For semis and finals, any site including predetermined sties may be appealed individually or jointly to the respective sports committee for a change of venue. Final decision for such a request rests with the sports committee. It is recommended by the Executive Committee that joint appeals by honored except when extenuating circumstances exist)
IV. SCHOOLS PLAYING AT THEIR OWN FIELD:
Section V will pay only the cost of supervision and officials.
Schools that host a Sectional game and do not charge admission must assume all fees associated with the game.
